Sea Green attended this year’s UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon, jointly co-hosted by the Governments of Kenya and Portugal. We take pride in being at the heart of these ecosystems by connecting innovative leaders and their solutions while enabling sustainable financing for the blue economy.
Our Director of Research & Development, Paddy Tarbuck and Interim CTO Phil Ford joined other disruptors in the ecosystem to further the conversation on seaweed and its massive opportunity to create healthy and sustainable coastal ecosystems by making an impact below and above the water – under SDG Goal 14: Life Below Water.
The conference was especially significant after the devastating effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on our livelihoods, including coastal communities. Sea Green is committed to strengthening the seaweed value chain and farmers’ livelihoods and we look forward to more collaborations and innovations in the space.
