Last month, Sea Green visited Xylem’s Singapore office to further bolster the partnership between the two companies to provide continued support to coastal communities in Indonesia.
Led by Sea Green’s CEO Alan Steele and Product Manager Tris Chen, the team engaged in discussions with Xylem regarding how the convergence of technology hardware, software, and analytics could tackle challenges faced by coastal communities.
Xylem Inc., a global provider of water technology, is supporting Sea Green by facilitating water data monitoring at farm sites via sensors and equipment. When coupled with data analytics, this provides valuable insights into environmental conditions, which are vital for seaweed cultivation.
Commenting on the partnership, Alan Steele expressed enthusiasm for the transformative potential of this collaboration, stating, “The support given to us by Xylem exemplifies our commitment to innovation in seaweed farming and, at the same time, empowers farmers and the coastal community to optimise their operations and safeguard marine ecosystems. We are looking forward to continuously working with them on this initiative and other opportunities in the future."
